Why We Give

On one of our children's hospital tours, we met a little girl called Lauralee* who had been in and out of the hospital for much of her life due to a chronic illness. Lauralee was in the Intensive Care Unit and she was really excited to see us because she had received a couple of our CDs and had listened to them over and over again.  When we started our program, a huge smile came to her face and she started singing along with us. It was great to see a once shy and scared little girl open up, express her feelings in a positive way and find a sense of normalcy in a strange and scary environment.  Lauralee is one of literally thousands upon thousands of children we serve annually who benefit from our programs and music and now YOU can join us as we continue to serve children like Lauralee!

How it Works

For every CD purchased through this special offer, Hugworks will provide two CDs for children in hospitals, camps or other organizations. It’s a huge win-win...you’re able to enjoy the extraordinary songs which help heal children of all ages and assist in continuing the mission of Hugworks...providing healing experiences for the special needs of children through the power of music.

Benefit Concert for Hugworks

Local Musicians Came Together to Help Children with Special Needs - Sunday March 7th, 2010

Josh Ingram, a local musician in North Texas gathered over 20 bands and artists for a benefit concert to help raise funds for children with special needs. The event took place on Sunday March 7th, 2010 at Love and War in Texas, an epic family restaurant which embodies Texas, located near the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, TX.

All proceeds went to Hugworks, a North Texas nonprofit, which provides live musical programs for hospitalized children and Music Therapy for children with special needs. Through the power of music, Hugworks helps children by reducing fear, anxiety and stress when they are in the hospital and by providing Music Therapy for children with special needs such as Autism and neurological disorders. Over 3,500 children were helped last year in North Texas alone by these programs and almost 13,000 children, parents and health care professionals were served in Texas and throughout the nation.
